About Me ~
Congratulations 🎉! You have found me :).
Hello! My name is Angel. I’m a Product Designer with 8 years of experience across product, UX/UI, and visual design. Born and raised in South Africa, I spent 12 years in Vancouver, Canada, where I studied and built my professional career in design.
I’m passionate about solving complex problems and creating experiences that are intuitive, meaningful, and visually engaging. My experience spans product design, UX/UI, visual design, research, usability and accessibility, design systems, and branding. I enjoy working at the intersection of user needs, business goals, and technical constraints to turn ideas into thoughtful, practical experiences.
Collaboration is a big part of how I work. I enjoy working with people from different backgrounds and disciplines, and partnering closely with designers, developers, product teams, and stakeholders to explore problems, communicate ideas, and bring products to life. I believe diverse perspectives lead to stronger and more thoughtful products.
Outside of design, you’ll probably find me exploring coffee shops or making espresso. Feel free to get in touch, especially if you have a great coffee recommendation!

Work Experience
— My work journey
I’m a Product Designer with 8 years of experience across product, UX/UI, and visual design. Most recently, I worked at Best Buy Canada, where I designed digital experiences across account, authentication, security, and omni-channel journeys.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked across different products, industries, and disciplines, from product and UX/UI design to visual and interactive design. Before Best Buy Canada, I worked at POWER//SHIFTER, Luxxee, and Immersive Tech, gaining experience across a diverse range of products and creative challenges.
I enjoy working at the intersection of user needs, business goals, and technology, collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems and create experiences that are intuitive, purposeful, and visually engaging.

2024 | Best Buy Buddy Bench Event
Volunteered in Best Buy’s annual Buddy Bench building event, collaborating with colleagues to build a bench for the community. Teams earned credits based on their bench designs and construction, which could then be donated to a charity or foundation of our choice.
What is a Buddy Bench:
The movement to build Buddy Benches (also known as friendship benches) in Canada grew out of a widespread effort to combat playground loneliness, prevent bullying, and promote mental well-being among students.

My other toxic trait? I love going to concerts to see my favourite artists live. And yes, I still love reminiscing about seeing Taylor Swift's THE ERAS TOUR in Seattle. 🤭✨
MY HOBBY ADVENTURES
I love getting outdoors and capturing the beauty of the world around me. I enjoy morning yoga, reformer Pilates, summer hikes, and trying new things, like wake surfing. 🏄🏻♀️.

I love visiting art exhibitions! This was taken during the time when we were slowly starting to socialise and enjoy public events again after the COVID lockdowns.
